Hugh Bamford Cott (1900-1987) was a zoologist and scientific illustrator with particular expertise in the study of colouration and camouflage. Between 1938 and 1967 he held the position of Strickland Curator (Curator of Birds) at Cambridge University Museum of Zoology, researching and lecturing at the museum in between field trips to South America and Africa.Â
