Wonderfully characterful depiction of a rather grumpy looking feline in the unmistakable line work of one of the UK's greatest illustrators. Ronald Searle (1920 - 2011) was born in Cambridge and was a frequent visitor to The Fitzwilliam Museum in his youth. His children presented the museum with a generous gift of several watercolour and ink works in 2014, including a series of illustrations of cats. 

Searle's illustrations are also available on other products including stationery, a tea towel, and a lens cloth.
