Behave Badly Pin Badge
The wonderful motto 'Behave Badly' was devised by Lisa Jardine, a historian who became the first female fellow at Jesus College in 1976. She had the phrase printed on badges and distributed them to her fellow female academics - Jardine's campaign inspired our range of button badges, produced to coincide with the Rising Tide exhibition at Cambridge University Library. The exhibition explored the history of women as students and academics at the university, and their struggles to be accepted as equals in what for many years had been a male-dominated institution.Â
